Belen is certified by R&F in Advanced Teaching Encaustics and has studied Encaustics with American artists such as Gregory Wright, Cynthia Wynika, David Clark, Laura Moriarty and Ellen Koment. Belen’s work has also been featured in the latest book by Ashley Rooney “Encaustic Art in the XXI Century.” She is included in the listing of Encaustic Instructors published by the IEA (http://www.international-encaustic-artists.org/Resources/Documents/EncausticInstructorsDirectory.pdf).

Workshops can be taught in English, French and Spanish on an individual basis or small groups. Please contact Belen for further information on dates, rates and availability. Encaustic demos are also available upon request.

Encaustic workshops take place in Belen’s studio in Malaga’s historical downtown. A top tourist destination in Europe, Malaga offers a wide range of cultural activities, more than 25 different museums, plenty of historical and archeological sites as well as great natural resources –from sandy beaches to wonderful mountain ranges like El torcal or La Axarquia. Malaga is one of the few Mediterranean coastal cities that allow visitors to stroll from the historical downtown right to the beach and the port in just a ten minute walk… It has the best climate in the Iberian Peninsula thanks to its own micro-climate created by the mountains that surround the city.
